Whether you like video game-based movies or not, "Resident Evil: Extinction" is well on its way. September 21 is right around the corner, and we can expect aggressive marketing before the fated day comes. To promote the movie, Sony unleashed a hot BMW motorcycle at Comic-con.

Zombie Violence... rawr - Image 1

Because of the "Zombie Violence" tag, let's just call it that. The decals look sweet and all, the polish is perfect, and the whole thing looks like a beast, but we'd sell a dozen Ducati to the junkyard just to get a bike with Resident Evil on it. Watching the movie is an entirely different issue.

Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbados playable at Comic-Con - Image 1

There were over 60 games playable in the San Diego Comic Con much to the delight of gamers who attended. While some of the video games were still behind closed doors, only unveiled to people from the press, one of the games available to the public drew quite a bit of attention. We're talking about Capcom's Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbados.

The game was generally enjoyed by those who played it, judging from the lines behind the two stations where they featured it. The booth also happened to be giving out stickers, which was promptly looted by those visiting the booth. IGN noted that they heard multiple people mention "Oh, that's the 'Zack & Wiki' game!" as well as permutations of that statement. That kind of recognition from people is pretty solid proof of the game's rising popularity.

We can openly say that the first public unveiling San Diego Comic-Con show of Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbados was a success. The challenge now would be for Capcom to sustain this wave of interest until its launch?

Square Enix - Image 1

You gotta hand it to Square Enix. When it comes to drawing power and fan devotion, they're right in on the A-List. In this year's Comic-Con, their gear and memorabilia are selling like crazy. Check out the loot.

The most popular franchises that the revered Japanese firm are all represented. Knights of the Round summon figures, Cactuar plush dolls, trading cards, Kingdom Hearts figures and many more are displayed in the booth and interested buyers seem not to mind the price tags. These are, after all, items that can't be found elsewhere.

If you're low on budget, looking around the place and drooling over the merchandise would probably suffice. When will we see SOLDIER uniforms going on retail? We don't know but we'll be ready when they come.
