Resident Evil Archives - Image 1Capcom's Captivate09 event has revealed that Resident Evil Archives will indeed come out this June. Hey, it turns out that retailers got it right this time. No word yet on if it'll indeed ship in a bundle with Resident Evil Zero, but the name does suggest more than one game. Check out some details and screenshots after the jump.

Chris ShevaThough not an entirely new concept, applying smell-technology to video games is damned cool - at least of course, until they start applying the same smelly tech to Resident Evil or some such. But anyway, yes, smell-tech is slowly wafting its way to video games, and a team from the University of Birmingham is doing just that!

11 new screens for Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles - Image 1Capcom's Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii looks great. With the recently confirmed Co-op mode, this might just become one of the "must have" titles this year.

The game is said to have players following a preset path as you aim and shoot at monsters using your Wiimote. The analog stick on the Nunchuk is used to control where the player is looking. This is pretty important since the gun sight is also used to locate items like green herbs which heal you or weapons you can use to bust up some zombies.

Since this is a retelling of the previous iterations of the game, you can expect Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Carlos Oliveira, Albert Wesker, Rebecca Chambers, and Billy Coen to be in the game. Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy have not yet been confirmed, but hopefully we'll be getting more info on this.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is slated for release this year. While waiting for it to come out, why not spend some time looking at some of the screenshots of the game?

Just a couple of weeks ago, we somewhat felt that updates for Capcom's Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles are becoming scarce, especially with the confirmation of another RE title, Resident Evil 4. But our fears were rendered invalid after we received new screenshots and learned that the official site for the video game has already gone live. Thank God.

Anyway, we have something to share with you today - it's a gameplay video of Umbrella Chronicles. It's quite short but it doesn't mean that it's less fun or scary - all depending on your take on shooting down infested monsters. As of now, the already confirmed characters include Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Rebecca Chambers, Billy Coen, and Albert Wesker.

Speaking of which, take note that these characters will appear in Umbrella Chronicles in their respective stages. So it is really interesting to know how all of these will play out in the end. In the meantime, just enjoy the new gameplay video for Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles.

Not to be confused with Resident Evil 4 (which is also coming to the Wii), Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles - known as Biohazard: Umbrella Chronicles in Japan - is a different game altogether, plus it's a Wii exclusive.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles from Capcom is the newest installment in the RE series, and this time we'll see the story unfold from the Umbrella Corporation's point of view. It's about the mess-ups... err- accidents and the eventual downfall of the giant corporation. Today we found the first trailer for Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles floating in YouTube, uploaded by neto1989.

Oh, and there are reports that the characters from the first three Resident Evil titles will be making appearances in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles in their respective stages - Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker and the others. In the meantime, check out the short and sweet trailer. Then you can hop over to the official website for Resident Evil 4 Wii version and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles by clicking the via link below.  Enjoy!
