Midway Games has been on a bit of a slowdown as of late with lukewarm reception on some of its releases, controversial resignations, and so-so financial results. The company seems to have felt the need for a change in leadership, prompting old CEO David Zucker to resign and for Interim CEO and President Matthew Booty to take over. Details on the move are available in the full article after the jump. |

After assigning top-level executives to different assignments, Chicago-based publisher Midway has confirmed what it calls "routine" layoffs in its Austin outpost. Are the two moves tied to each other, or is this part of the company's normal procedures? See details in the full article and decide for yourself. |

Here's one for the books: word got out from an inside source that the SCi, together with underling Eidos Interactive, may be seeing a merger with another well-known game company soon, if the alleged talks turn out to be true and actually pull through. The company in question is none other than Midway Games, who's just recently changed chairmans to Viacom's Shari E. Redstone. Mere coincidence? More at the full story. |

2008 is a new year for all - even in the games industry. It seems Midway also joined in the New Year's corporate shakeups of other gaming corporate notables, including Activision Blizzard, all which began flowing in since last November. Long time serving Chairman of the Board, Kenneth D. Cron, finally stepped down from his seat at Midway and was immediately replaced by vice chair Shari Redstone. More at the full story. |

You can unlock additional gear to slap on your fighters as you play through the game and win matches. For those who are wondering on where your pugilists will be duking it out, the game offers four arenas for you to fight in: New York, Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Be sure to check out the full list of features below to see what else the game has to offer: Features:

Just how good was Resident Evil 4? So good that just about every credible review site and magazine gave it a perfect score or something pretty close. So good that it made drastic deviations from how its classic predecessors played and still commanded the same reverence from new and old fans. In fact, it was so good that it debuted on the GameCube, went to the PlayStation 2 then came back full circle aboard the Nintendo Wii. But we're not here to talk about that. What we have here are some sweet screens of that phenomenal survival horror that chilled you yet again. We must admit that the visuals aren't that far off from its GC and PS2 versions, but they're good enough on the Wii version considering its hardware capabilities. We're familiar with the locales depicted here. The village looks as eerie as ever and we won't have it any other way. Too bad these shots can't give us a preview of how the controls will be, because quite frankly that's what everyone is looking forward to at this point. Just the thought of a Wiimote-driven Chicago Typewriter makes us involuntarily generate bad intentions for the Las Plagas-stricken peasants.... That's just one of the many screens waiting.
