They may not have Sony's fancy shmancy 3-D digital cinema projector that they showcased during CES, but Nintendo still beat them to the first-ever (to my knowledge) game that will feature stereoscopic 3D graphics. Disney has announced Toy Story Mania!, a new shooting game that will be packaged with 3D glasses.

We finally have a solid release date for the Rock Band game starring the band that rocked the the world, The Beatles. The game is slated for a release on September 9, released simultaneously worldwide for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the Wii.

News broke earlier about how Harmonix wanted to release more than 5,000 songs as DLC for Rock Band by the end of the year. Epic? Yes. Possible? Nuh-uh. Harmonix was contacted to set things straight and guess what? It was a misunderstanding.

So you they think are way too much music games now, huh? Well in the opinion of Harmonix co-founder Alex Rigopulos, that may not exactly be bad thing. In fact, it actually can be the key to motivate people to trying out real music, saying that it gives people "a taste of what lies on the other side."

Finally, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360, Wii, PC, PlayStation 3) broke past the US$ 1Billion sales mark, and in the process became the first single game ever to sell that much, since its launch in 200. This was confirmed by Activision's CEO, Mike Griffith, at the CES keynote in Las Vegas on Friday.

Ohhhh, Sony's making it personal. In an official press release, Sony claws at both Microsoft and Nintendo, saying that they "peddle add-ons" in an effort to keep up with the PS3's out-of-the-box features.

Let's have a show of hands: Who's having problems with the drum pedals in their music game of choice? Apparently, the number of gamers who do is high enough that Nyko has announced plans for a "more durable foot pedal" called the Metal Pedal. Specs after the jump.
