Sega has just announced that it's currently working with Amaze Entertainment and Edge of Reality to produce the Incredible Hulk games which will tie in with next year's movie offering.Sega has revealed little details in the past, but has now confirmed that the Incredible Hulk will be developed by Edge of Reality for home gaming consoles. Amaze, on the other hand, will take care of the handheld iterations. Specific platforms and information about how the game will vary depending on the features of each are still yet to be disclosed, but Sega assures everyone that they'll come out in due time. The Incredible Hulk motion picture is set for release around June 13, 2008. Game tie-ins usually come out on the same week as their film counterparts, so we can safely expect this game to come out right around that time neighborhood. |

"Fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise will experience adventures inspired by the second and third films while going far beyond the events of those films. Our games go beyond the films to introduce legendary pirates, new locations and unique endings that will satisfy the pirate in each of us," said Craig Relyea, Marketing Vice President for DIS. Disney mentioned that it will release more details in the following weeks dedicated for each system. But as of now, the publisher said that the new video game will sport innovative dueling controls, as well as special moves that can be used to outwit and defeat enemies. The DS version of At World's End was rated E10+ by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and was developed by Amaze Entertainment. On the other hand, the console versions of the game, as well as the PSP and PC was given to Eurocom Entertainment. All versions were rated T by the classifications board. And now we leave you with the immortal words of the great pirate captain, "I'm Captain Jack Sparrow. I think we've all arrived at a very special place, eh? Spiritually, ecumenically...grammatically." |

We all know everyone who's reading right now loves to play videogames. But are you a college student who don't know what to do after graduation? Or are you an OSY (that's out of school youth)? Or maybe, just maybe, you want a career somewhat related to videogames? Evergreen Events can help.Accordingly, the events promotion company will be holding a series of vocational and educational events under the "Career Discovery" banner and the first of which will be focused on "Careers in the Game Industry". Evergreen mentioned that it wants to encourage middle school and high school students to pursue careers related to writing, art, films, and animals. We don't know about the last one, but videogames definitely fall under the first two. Anyway, the said event will be attended by several industry luminaries and those who will attend will have the chance to interact face to face with them as well as try the newest technologies related to videogaming. It will be a day-long event to be held on March 24 in Bellevue, Washington at the Interlake Performing Arts Theater. We listed the key speakers below and if you're interested, you can register via the Read link. Key speakers for Career Discovery 1: Careers in the Game Industry are the following:

Amaze Entertainment, famous for their works with handheld games like Eragon PSP, The Sims, Pirates of the Carribean 2: Dead Man's Chest, and Shrek III has just announced that they're merging with the even bigger Foundation 9 Entertainment company. The merger was signed by Francisco Partners, F9E's owners, and is seen to make F9E now one of the largest game developers worldwide - this even after F9e's recent acquisition of Shiny Entertainment Studios. Before their merger, Amaze had these studios under its command: KnowWonder, Griptonite, Monsoon and Fizz Factor. F9E's roster included this list: The Collective, Backbone Entertainment, Pipeworks, ImaginEngine, Digital Eclipse, and Shiny Entertainment. The new company merger will then have a total of 11 studios under its belt, with roughly 725 employees spread out among them. Considering the track records between these two developers, and the kind of games they're churning out, we look forward to further news on how this merger will affect their future plans. |

The Jolly Green Giant is back. Nope, not the Hulk (Ultimate Alliance has him), but the "other" guy - Shrek's back again, and if you haven't seen the trailer yet, you might wanna check it out. Activision's just announced the lineup of development studios that will be backing the game up as Shrek the Third makes its multi-platform launch in May - just enough time for you to see them movie version when it hits theatres this March. Here's the developers:
For them to return to their swamp, Shrek, Donkey (Eddie Murphy), and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) must go on a journey to find the lost heir, all the while as Fiona defends the Far Far Away Kingdom from a coup d 'etat launched by Prince Charming (Rupert Everett). |
