This is the week, guys! No more filler games! Well, alright, so we still have a couple of titles from the Imagine and Petz series, but never mind that. Big titles are coming out this week, and the publishers did not fail to beef up the lineup just before the Black Friday sales. It's a deluge of games, alright. Can your wallet handle it?

With their new James Bond game coming out next year plus plans to make a series out of the Bond franchise, Activision decided not to get Daniel Craig as the face of their James Bond. Daniel Craig's a big star - it'll be hard to fit sessions of dialog recording into his busy schedule, he'll have Bond movies to shoot - all that and he's expensive, too. So instead, we'll be getting Adam Croasdell.

The third quarter financial call for Activision just commenced this afternoon, and the big news that came out of it was that their 2010 games will be bigger, including new iterations for the Call of Duty and Guitar Hero franchises.

We've got a bunch of mystery games for you this Halloween week, as well as another one from the blood-curdling line of Ubisoft's Imagine titles, this time with Imagine Babyz Fashion. Headlining the line-up though would be Jak & Dexter for the PSP, the multi-platformer Lego Rock Band, and the new Need for Speed offering for handhelds, NFS: Nitro. Clawing his way into DLC form is Black Panther hoping to get some action in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. He's also known as T'Challa, chief of the Wakandan Panther clan, and husband to Halle Berry Storm. Once Activision sets the date, he'll also be known as a downloadable character.

The 27th annual Golden Joysticks Awards were announced in London earlier today, giving props to the games that shaped the industry in the past year. Sitting on top of them is Fallout 3 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) receiving top honors as the Ultimate Game of the Year. Read up and find out who else made it big in the awards.

This report from Gamasutra should erase any and all doubts lingering in your minds about just how successful Call of Duty: World at War (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii) truly is. The three DLC packs that the game released digitally for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles "only" managed to push 6.5 million units between the months of March and Mid-August 2009. How's that for a big performer?

The NPD results are out for the month of September, and look at what we have here! A mighty and proud showing of PS3 sales finally taking over the spot beyond the Xbox 360 and the Wii -- for the first time ever. That's not to say that it topped all of the charts, though. A couple hundred thousands more till it successfully topples down the Nintendo DS from its # 1 spot.
