2K boss: We can beat the recession - Image 1 Games are cheap. At least, compared to a weekend down at Ibiza. For your cash, games offer infinitely more hours of entertainment than a weekend getaway. So if people aren't willing to cut a weekend getaway from their budgets, how much more when it comes to video games? At least, that's the point that 2K global president Christoph Hartmann wants to make.

2K: Wii flooded by crappy titles - Image 1Someone had to say it. In a recent interview, 2K boss Christoph Hartmann remarked that the Wii market is flooded by "crappy titles," making it hard for the real gems to shine.

On Shelves This Week - Image 1It's wholesome games galore this week of July 6 to July 12 for your fave consoles. From carnivals (Carnival Games, Wonder World Amusement Park) to memory-treasure hunting (Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon), there's certainly a lot of Everyone ratings raining down from ESRB. 2K Games Licenses Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3 - Image 12K Games, the studio that brought us such games as Bioshock, Civilization IV, and the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, has announced that they are developing a new lineup of games that will be using the Unreal Engine 3.
