Let me start by clarifying that this is in no way a Nintendo marketing attempt for the New Super Mario Bros. Wii coming out on November 15th (WTF if this is). This happened for real. Two guys dressed up as Mario and Luigi (presumably for Halloween), plus one other suspect, are now wanted by the police for assault and robbery on a poor cabbie.

So instead, we'll be getting Adam Croasdell.

If you know anyone who's thinking that the Wii Fit is the fun-and-easy ticket to a better shape, tell them that they're gonna have to get used to that fat gut sticking out. The American Council on Exercise has released their findings on the effectiveness of the so-called fitness game, and what they found is that, "The Wii Fit is a very, very mild workout."

Shortly after their acquisition of Playfish, Electronic Arts is set to streamline operations, sacking 1,500 employees from different levels, and canning 12 unannounced projects. Speaking in an investor conference call, chief financial officer John Brown gave out the details.

Everyone loves Chocobos. Really. Some may like Moogles more for the fluffy pompom on their head, but they still love Chocobos. 20 years after Nintendo launched the Game Boy, the immensely popular portable gaming device has now been inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame, joining the ranks of an elite list of legendary playthings. An honor well-deserved. Seeking to continue their hardware success, Nintendo has had another busy week, topped off with updates from three of their biggest execs.

Before the days of the PSP and the DS, only one name came to mind when it came to portable gaming - the Nintendo Game Boy. Since its launch in 1989, the Game Boy made its mark in the gaming industry, pioneering a new level in portable gameplay. For its contributions and millions of satisfied users, the Museum of Play has now honored the handheld by including it in its National Toy Hall of Fame.
