Although Microsoft pooh-poohed Sony's "big announcement" which turned out to be a PS2 pricecut, Sony defends its decision, saying that by introducing a PS2 pricecut, they're stealing market share from the Wii. Wiibrew developer copete23 has released a new Pong game for the Wii, called Komopong Wii. It's a rather simple game (it's Pong, what can you expect?) but it's a very well-made one with an outer-space theme going for it, plus an added gameplay mechanic. Details after the link.

It's officially official. Eidos Interactive's shareholders have approved Square Enix's takeover of the company, only the paperwork is left to finalize the arrangement. I hope they're considering a Super Square Enix Brawl game somewhere in their pipeline.
