The Sony PSP once again proves that it is now the king of the Japanese hardware hill by keeping its top spot in the Japanese hardware sales chart for the week of July 21to 27. The Nintendo DS follows, with a bevy of software crowding the top 50 software sales chart...and yes,  Dragon Quest V is still top dog among other games. The list in the full article.

Looks like the only reason Lego Indy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl were enjoying their spots on top of the UK video game charts were because of the short supply of Wii Fit. Thanks to the hype surrounding Wii Fit, the game has posted spectacular numbers in the regions where it is already out. In the U.S., though, it looks like things are off to a rocky start.

 Not everyone thinks that the Nintendo Wii and its games are nice and kid-friendly. The National Obesity forum in the UK says that hit release Wii Fit is offensive and threatening to children. They asked Nintendo to do something about it, but the company may not be all too willing to take action. Details in the full article.

Japan's Enterbrain has just announced that Nintendo's Wii Fit title has already exceeded the two-million sales mark for the region as of yesterday. The Wii console is enjoying similar success, with six million sales now under its belt. More details are available in the full article.

Here's something nice to light up the streets at night-time: a large Wii Fit ad was spotted by a GoNintendo reader right smack in Times Square. It looks like Wii Fit is enjoying the spotlight right now, which is further enhanced by the heaps of mixed publicity it's currently getting. The picture of the ad in the full article!

Given that this year's biggest games are Nintendo's Wii Fit and Rockstar North's Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), you guys might be thinking there's just too little space for both games to survive in the market.
