Spring may not be done yet, but snow will fall early for Nintendo Wii owners. We Ski has just turned gold and it'll be available real soon. Nobody will have to wait too long for fun down the slope. Namco Bandai shares some details in the full article up next.

It looks like website Surfer Girl was right when it predicted that Namco Bandai will be releasing Family Ski in North America with the name We Ski. This skiing game has multiplayer support for up to four players and even has support for the Wii Balance Board. If you want to find out more, scoot on over to the full article.

 Apparently, the Wii Fit is about to pick up a partner, courtesy of Namco-Bandai's Family Ski sports title. A recent advert for the game indicates that it will indeed be supporting the Wii balance board as controller. It was previously believed that the game would only use the Wiimote-Nunchuck configuration to help us navigate our way through its powder-packed slopes. We just got a handful of new screenshots for upcoming video game Family Ski for the Nintendo Wii. Take note that this particular title is some sort of a revival on the part of Namco Bandai. Family Ski is part of the Family Sports franchise that garnered wide success in Japan.

Family Ski is expected to be released in Japan this Winter. There's still no word, however, if the game will see an international release.

Namco Bandai announced the revival of its classic sports game Family Ski on Nintendo Wii today. This particular title is part of the Family Sports franchise that became particularly successful in Japan. Furthermore, the company has also expressed its desire to follow this up with horse racing Family Jockey and Family Baseball.

At first thought, Family Ski seems like a good partner with Wii Fit's Balance Board but Namco Bandai stated that it will not be utilizing the peripheral for this game. Instead, players will have to use the good ol' Wiimote-Nunchuk combination. Accordingly, the two controllers will emulate the functions of real ski poles.

It was also reported that Family Ski will sport three different difficulty settings Easy, Normal, and Hard. Aside from that, the title can support up to four players in one go with courses varying from snow park to forest. The game will be directed by Masaya Kobayashi and produced by Youzou Sakagami.

Family Ski is expected to be released in Japan this Winter. There is still no word, however, if the game will be released internationally and if it will have online components.
