Tecmo has recently announced that its upcoming Swing Golf Panya 2nd Shot! will be playable for the Nintendo Wii game console this coming Tokyo Game Show 2007. This follows other announcements of playable game demos and the showing of some other biggies on the horizon. As you can tell by its title, Swing Golf Panya 2nd Shot! is a fictional golfing game that makes use of the Wii's motion0sensing Wiimote controller to simulate golf clubs. This adds an element of realism to players who must act in the same way they do when doing a real drive or putt on the green. The golfing game is expected to be a popular title for a fun-loving Japanese crowd when it's unveiled. Tecmo's mysterious new Wii project Rygar: The Battle of Argus will also be shown off.Very little has been made known about this game, but it's been touted by Famitsu as a "new style action game" for the hottest-selling console of today. Nintendo DS title Kyotaro Nishimura Suspense will also be playable to give more mature gamers the puzzle-solving fun that has endeared the DS to casual and young gamers. Next generation games like Ninja Gaiden 2 and Lost Odyssey, on the other hand, have been announced to be video-only. |

For those of us who couldn't get enough of Tecmo's Super Swing Golf, that crazy golf game with the cute anime graphics and over-the-top special effects - here's an update to whet your appetites: the Japanese website of the game has just opened a poll to see who the fans want to voice the characters on the game's sequel, Super Swing Golf 2.Looking at the poll itself, there's a pretty long list of voice actors to choose from - and it's to note that in Japan, voice acting is quite a very big thing, what with the profession of a successful voice actor being the Japanese equivalent of a rock star. If you're that enamored with a particular voice actor and can read enough Japanese to decipher the many strings of script, you should probably put a vote in. Although it may not mean much - as the voting site itself carries a warning that the top choice may not be at all voicing for the game. In any case, it's certainly good news that Super Swing Golf 2's getting the full treatment. You can check out the actual voting site in the Read link we've supplied below. Updates as we get them! |

Wii owners who loved the first Super Swing Golf will definitely be looking forward to the release of Super Swing Golf 2, Tecmo's follow-up to the popular anime-style golf title. To whet the appetites of those who are eagerly awaiting Super Swing Golf 2, here are a couple of new images from the game, courtesy of Jeux France.
Super Swing Golf 2 features pretty much the same characters found in the first game. New courses and an all-new story have been added to keep the experience fresh. The game's story mode mode is now called "Tour Mode," where players face off against their opponents on a map that looks like a board game. The sequel will also reportedly feature new multiplayer modes, new customization options, new costumes, and new secrets. Development for Super Swing Golf 2 is being handled by Tecmo and Korean company Ntreevsoft, and the game is slated for release next year. |
