The Dolphin Team definitely kicked it into high gear. Did you like the Update yesterday much? Well this one you're sure to enjoy more. Much more. By a very long mile. Go Nintendo has posted and subsequently "reviewed" Super Mario Galaxy as it runs on the GameCube and Wii emulators for Windows.

Fumito Ueda, director and lead designer for the hit video games Ico and Shadow of the Colossus is not a big fan of GTA IV (Xbox 360, PS3) and Super Mario Galaxy - both hit video games too in their own rights. He expresses his opinion on this issue and more in the latest issue of LEVEL magazine.

Mario games have always been popular in the UK, and Super Mario Galaxy proves it by beating out the likes of Fallout 3, Fable II, and even GTA IV for BAFTA's Best Game Award. The GAME Award this year goes to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, as voted on by gamers.

Morpheon Mods has just announced the completion of their custom Super Mario Galaxy Wii console. While the light and sound show on this new piece are certainly an eyeful, one other feature the team's proud of is its custom logo. More details on this project are available in the full article.

According to simExchange analyst Jesse Divnich, some numbers taken from both the NPD Group and Mindshare didn't exactly jive with one another after comparing two of the supposedly top-selling games of 2007. The games in question were Nintendo's Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii and Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for the Xbox 360 (also available on the PC and PS3). There are video game awards, and then there are video game awards. This particular video game awards feature is probably of the latter, but with a lot of good-natured irreverence thrown into the mix. Canada's making some waves in the gaming industry as the NPD Group's November numbers reveal that the country has passed CA$ 1.13 billion (US$ 1.11 billion) for their year-to-date revenues. It's nowhere near the US$ 2.63 billion the US chucked out US$ 2.63 billion last month but considering that the Canadian industry rose a staggering 65% from the same period from last year, it's a pretty big achievement and a positive sign that gaming's getting larger than ever.
