For years, Mario has entertained us with his wide variety of games - from his humble beginnings as an 8-bit plumber to his iconic adventure in glorious 3D. Now, Mario's back, and this time he's off to save Princess Peach once more in what could be the biggest adventure of his lifetime. This is his title for this generation. This is what he offers us after years of dedication, of faith that he would rise from the stigma of awkward spin-off titles and that game with the backpack full of water. This is the review of one of the best platformers of the entire history of forever, Super Mario Galaxy. |

Headplay is probably every couch potato's dream. Imagine a TV. Now imagine being able to take it anywhere and everywhere you go (except perhaps in the shower), and being able to watch movies or play games on it anytime you want. That's the concept for the new "Personal Cinema System" device, Headplay. Headplay is a head-mounted device; basically, a TV you wear on your head. You can connect it to your gaming consoles, your DVD Player, your iPod, your PC, and maybe your Betamax player if it hasn't choked on dust yet. If it has a video out function, Headplay can most probably display it. You can also plug in a memory stick and Headplay can run the media files - movies, videos, and images - with its own built-in player. Once you're behind the lenses of Headplay it's pretty easy to just relax and go dead to the world around you. It's nothing but you and the screen, with the stereo sounds blocking off everything else. It's like your own movie screen inside your living room. To read the complete review of Headplay - what it is, what it does, how it plays on Microsoft's Xbox 360, Sony's PlayStation 3, and Nintendo' Wii on it - click on the link for the full article. |

When a game gets 38 from a Famitsu review, you just know it's one of those must haves. Even the other way around, there is no reason to miss out on Capcom's Resident Evil 4 for the Wii. Got the game on other consoles, you say? This video review from Gametrailers might convince you to relive the horror.
Having no bonus content does not stop anyone from having a fresh experience with the Wii controls. Using the Wiimote like a Lightgun to shoot Las Plagas is enough to know that gameplay this time will be a notch up from traditional controllers. Aside from somewhat stiff 180-degree turns (which is a Resident Evil trademark), RE4: Wii Edition promises to make dispatching crazed Spanish villagers easier than preparing burritos. Here's what Gametrailers have to say: |

Par for the course for this video. When we mention Tiger Woods in the Wii blog, we can't mean none other than the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007. This video will provide for a tutorial on how to wield the Wiimote when playing as the master himself, as well as provide snippets of the game's interface.
Given the number of golf titles making their way to the Wii, we can't help but imagine if some new accessories may be up for brainstorming. A club-shaped attachment sounds pretty cool, as well as a katana...wait, bad idea. Either way, enjoy the video, and meet us at the 18th hole. |

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princes... Oh boy. And this comes after the entire Gamespot thing. In Famitsu's recent issue (according to the translation of IGN's Wii boys), you may be glad to note that the reviewers have given Twilight a 9, 10, 9, 10, for a 38/40 total (cue Final Fantasy victory fanfare). It's not the 40/40 that Ocarina got, but it's d**n well in that territory. And besides, it simply reinforces Twilight's #2 position in Game Ranking's 10 Best Games Evar. If you're further interested - and this is now the nitty-gritty of the review - the GameCube version of Twilight got a 10, 10, 9, 9, also for a 38/40. On the other hand, reviewer comments on the GCN version "seemed to suggest that (it), while lacking some of the freshness of the Wii version, offers a feeling of precise control thanks to the standard control system." We don't know if that has something to do with the Wiimote differential, but it is something to look into, if the guys in the office only had Japanese lessons and Famitsu fedexed to them on a regular basis. Okay, flagship title that it is, Zelda isn't the only game out there for the Wii. Here are the other Famitsu scores for Wii launch games in Japan:
