Not only does this new Ratatouille trailer from Heavy Iron Studios and THQ bring home the bacon, it also brings home the cheese, the wine, the olives, the lasagna... it just brings a lot of food to the table!
In Ratatouille, players get to play as the master chef-slash-rat Remy as he goes through 20 exciting missions that will relive portions of the movie, as well as flesh out Remy's character even further. As an added bonus, the game also comes with an unlockable sneak peek of Disney/Pixar's next movie, "WALL-E", which tells the story of a robot who wants to travel the galaxy. Now, what's in this trailer, you might be wondering? Besides Remy, the ratty chef running for his little life, we also have gameplay mechanics such as running, jumping, and rolling on round food objects. The trailer also notes some of the game's features, such as multiplayer options and minigames. In any case, you can expect delicious action and multiplatform gaming delicacies below, because in Ratatouille, everything tastes good. Enjoy! |

For a movie tie-in game, Ratatouille for the Nintendo Wii is looking pretty good, if these new screenshots are anything to go by. The game's environments and characters look quite faithful to their movie counterparts - and to be fair, the cartoony effect only adds to the immersion of the game, rather than detract from it. With a good look, decent platforming action with a healthy mix of minigames, first-class voice acting, Ratatouille seems to be a solid title for the young'uns (as well as the young at heart). We'll keep you updated with Pixar's latest venture into the videogame world as developments happen - in the meantime, enjoy the eye candy! More screenshots after the jump! |

It's challenging enough to aspire and actually become a chef in the real world, but when you're furry, you live mostly in dark places and you're six inches long from snout to butt, it becomes even more daunting. Such is the case with Ratatouille's star Remy, a French mouse who wants to show the world his culinary prowess in Pixar's latest project.
THQ has been chosen to develop the game for just about every console from the high-powered Sony PlayStation 3 to the all-but-dead Game Boy Advance. This is the Exterminator Escape gameplay video for the Wii. Have a look: As you may guess, the game is a platformer with lots of jumping, running, lifting and throwing. The camera view looks tight at this stage and the graphics aren't bad at all. Sounds are right on the money with the stellar voice acting and the occasional comic relief from the characters. Pixar features are among the better games adaptations, following former successes. It looks like this game is not going to be an exception to that track record. We can't wait until Ratatouille scurries into our consoles later this year. |

Mini games, rat chefs and a whole lot of cooking abound in Heavy Iron Studios and THQ's Ratatouille (DS, Wii, PC, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360), a game based on the Disney/Pixar animated feature of the same name.
Ratatouille will allow players to create culinary masterpieces, evade detection from dangerous and often hungry enemies, and brave the perils of the dinner-rush as rat hero Remy journeys to fulfill his life-long dream of becoming a great chef. Players can engage in a series of mini games, culinary challenges and even go head to head against a friend. Ratatouille is slated for a Summer release alongside the film across eleven video game platforms. That's gotta be some kind of record right there. Anyway, check out the new Wii screenshots of the game below. More screenshots after the jump! |

Talking about Ratatouille (PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Nintendo DS, PSP) feels weird to me. Anyhow, Remi M. will now talk about Remy, the main character of the game. Remy is a French rat who is obsessed about the idea of becoming a master French chef, now of course when you're a rodent and you wanna be a master chef, there are bound to be some problems and health code violations along the way.
Anyhow, the game is being developed by Heavy Iron Studios and will be published by THQ. Over at GameSpot, we found a video interview of Heavy Iron's General Manager, Lyle Hall. He showed off the game and he talked about what you can expect from the game and the main character himself. We have a video for you guys courtesy of YouTube, so go ahead and click play to check Remy, the rodent, in action. |

Until now, there are still no release date announcements for Ratatouille (Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii).
However, we do know that the movie is expected on June 29, 2007, so
maybe we can expect it to ship around that time as well. In case you
are not familiar with the game, it is about the rat Remy who dreams of being a chef.
We guess we don't have to remind you that rats are no-no in kitchens, or any part of the house for that matter. Anyway, for you to have a better idea of what Ratatouille is all about, here are two gameplay vids for both consoles. The game is being developed by Heavy Iron Studios and will be published by THQ. Ready to be named the best chef in a Parisian restaurant? Better get ready for the challenge then as you play a rat named Remy determined to be a chef. Ratatouille from THQ and Pixar will take us to the young culinary adventures as he tries to reach his dream, however impossible. As we all know, simply being a rat would bar you from any kitchen so Remy would require some stealth when trying to get around. So think Cooking Mama crossed with Diner Dash plus Splinter Cell? If you can't stand the heat - then get out of the kitchen. There hasn't been any announcements regarding the release date but the movie is scheduled for June 29. So for now, here's a sneak peek of what you're getting via screens. More screens right after the jump! |

Disney-Pixar games are a dime a dozen. From Cars to The Incredibles, to a whole host of other games, lots of young gamers (aged 1 to 52) are enjoying the chance to get into their favorite movies and play as its different characters. For next year's summer game, you can expect a massive invasion of culinary rats across all major platforms to date. We're talking massive here. THQ is going to publish the game on the Wii, NDS, GBA, GameCube, PS2, PSP, PS3, Xbox 360, plus a Mac and PC version. Ratatouille will have you playing as Remy (not to be confused with fellow QJ blogger Remi) as he goes through key scenes from the movie. You'd have to guide him across a wide array of mini-games, cooking challenges, and head-to-head multiplayer. Players would be allowed to create their own culinary masterpieces, all while trying to evade the perils and threats lurking about the kitchens of Paris. Are you the next greatest rat-chef in all of history? The game is coming out next year, so you better start preparing those dishes (and evasive skills)! |
