If Rampage: Total Destruction's price on Amazon is an indication of retail price of Wii games, then we could probably grab some launch titles for as low as US$ 29.99. As a comparison, Rampage: Total Destruction for current-gen consoles is being sold for US$ 19.99. The low retail price for Wii games isn't really surprising considering that the Wii itself is the least expensive next-gen console. Also, Nintendo has promised cheaper games and they're making good with that promise. Of course, we don't suppose we can get popular games like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess or Red Steel for a mere US$ 29.99, but we do know that they'd be much lower than US$ 60. Games for next-gen consoles currently retail between $49.99 and US$ 59.99. |

With the Wii's launch drawing nearer, it's gonna be tough picking out a game to go with Nintendo's console. First impressions last, and before you even pull the game out, you bet it'll be sliding out of a brand new box cover. With that said, we've spotted some of the newer box covers for these Wii games:
1. Bleach - Sword-slashing anime with super moves + Wiimote + Nunchucks = one uber cool game, at least if you're following the trailers. 2. Red Steel - You've probably seen the trailers for this - twisting the wiimote translates into you firing the guns gangsta-style. Then there's the katanas... you get the idea. 3. Rampage: Total Destruction - Giant monsters, buildings, and panic-stricken citizens. You know what to do. 4. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz - Sega's platform-jumping, puzzle-solving sequel to this game series makes it to the Wii, and it promises over 99 levels + 50 minigame's worth of cute-monkey-goodness. Well, enough of the intermission. Here are the new box covers, in the order of the said games above. |

Remember that scene in Disney's "Lilo and Stitch", where the cuddly blue alien Stitch just couldn't seem to control his urge for destruction and domination so he builds a tiny city in a sandbox and then proceeds to trash it, Godzilla-style? Have you ever wanted to do the same thing (i.e., stomp an entire city to the ground, wreak havoc, and cause utter chaos and destruction to the sounds of screaming citizens and the light of flaming buildings)? More screens after the jump! |

Two rumors: Rampage: Total Destruction for Wii and Rampage: Total Destruction for the DS. You can now cross out the first rumor on your list. Midway Games Inc., has now given word that they are indeed going to release Rampage for the Wii, scheduled to come out this winter. "We are extremely excited to be bringing the mayhem of Rampage: Total Destruction to the Nintendo Wii," said Steve Allison, chief marketing officer, Midway. "With updated graphics and even more extreme monsters, fans of this classic arcade series, as well as new players, will have more than a handful this winter." Rampage: Total Destruction can be a substitute for anger management courses. You control one of 40 monsters, including the initial George, Lizzie and Ralph, and eventually the unlockable crazy monsters hidden throughout the various 3D city environments, such as Sarah the Spider, Plucky the Chicken and Fifi the Rabid French Poodle. Rampage: Total Destruction allows multiple players to compete or cooperate as they battle through the game. It is currently available for Nintendo Gamecube and the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system. One rumor down, only one to go. |
