Nothing says "gamer inside" on your front door like having a NES controller for a doorbell. In this unrevealed gamer home, a NES controller was modded into a wireless doorbell, giving visitors an added treat when coming over. Video inside.

For those who haven't heard yet, Mega Man 2.5D is a fan-made project created by Swedish animator Peter Sjostrand. "2.5D" simply means that the game is right between 2D and 3D, taking Sjostrand's definition of 2.5D of course. This new vid came out earlier today, and for those who grew up with Mega Man like me, seeing MegaMan and ProtoMan work together is fangasm at its finest.

What happens when you take a Rock Band fan, a guitar peripheral, modding skills, plus a pair of an LED emitter and receiver? You get this cool light beam guitar mod. If the strum bar was getting too low-tech for your tastes, then maybe you should make like adderd019 and turn your boring old peripheral into tomorrow's plaything? Video after the jump.

Well if you don't have strong legs to kick out a beat on Guitar Hero's drum pedals, Ben Heckendorn (Ben Hecks) has another mod to make life easier for you. Taking a GH: World Tour drum kit's kick pedal, he modified it into something that allows you to simply blow on a tube to register bass kicks. He did this mod as a request from someone who uses a wheelchair.

And modder Wiimote modder">DHRECK continues to come up with entertaining mod for the Wii's entertaining Wiimote. Yes, he's no other than the Hemp-Mote guy (though am sure he'd want to be recognized for much more than that :P), and this time he's back with a more minimalist creation, the Mini-Mote.

Team Matrix (I hear they're old hands at PS2 modding) is reportedly working on delivering a solution for the storage problems that a lot of Wii owners have complained about since Nintendo isn't really doing anything concrete about it yet. The solution here is called WiiZii, a plug and play mod that lets you connect an external HDD via SATA to your Wii.

AcidMods does some great Wiimote mods, but this one has my vote. In a bid to give the Wiimote a fuzzy, natural feel to replace its cold, white plastic, modder DHRECK made an exterior made entirely of hemp. Hemp cordage, I mean. Oh, you.

You'd think the Wiimote would be the ultimate controller for shooters, but having to switch between the D-pad and the A button every time you change weapons just makes for clunky gameplay.
