Link's Crossbow Training for the Nintendo Wii may strike a bit old, seeing as it has been released way back in November 2007. However, Japanese Wii gamers can only play it as early as this May. This is why Nintendo's Satoru Iwata features the Wii Zapper-powered game in his latest Iwata Asks with Shigeru Miyamoto. Head over the full article for the entire interview. |

We don't know if you are aware of this, but Nintendo will be releasing the Wii Zapper bundled with Nintendo Wii video game Link's Crossbow Training in North America today.Nintendo is employing a strategy in Link's Crossbow Training similar to the one it did with the Wii Sports. The Wiimote and Nunchuk were new at that time and that's why Nintendo bundled it with a "training" game. The same is true with this title. Find some videos after the jump! |

US is getting the Wii Zapper + Link's Crossbow Training bundle in just a couple more weeks. And according to French site Wiiz, Europeans aren't going to have to wait too long for the game. Notch your calendars: Europe gets the Wii Zapper bundle on December 7. As it stands, the bundle is priced at € 30 (a little over US$ 42), which is actually about double the price that the States is getting it for. If you recall, North America is getting the bundle for US$ 20 (converted, that's supposed to be around € 16 in Europe). Will the extra cash be worth it? Well, getting to revisit various locations in Twilight Princess sounds like a good deal for some of us. We definitely wouldn't mind doing target practice over the Bridge of Eldin. |

Nintendo Wii fans won't have to wait too long to get another big game for their consoles. On November 19, 2007, Nintendo of America will release Link's Crossbow Training bundled with the gun peripheral Wii Zapper for the total experience. Here's a video of players using the Wii Zapper in the game:
As we all know by now, Link's Crossbow Training by Nintendo will come bundled with the Nintendo Wii Zapper accessory. This peripheral acts like a light gun used in other shooting games, making the trigger-happy experience more realistic than what control pads can provide. Nintendo's Link's Crossbow Training is set in the same world style that Nintendo's blockbuster RPG The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is in. It has our hero Link practicing his marksmanship to further improve his ability to defend Hyrule. By the way, Capcom's Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is also bound to use the Nintendo Wii Zapper, further raising anticipation for the peripheral. |

First screenshots of Link's Crossbow Training have finally surfaced. Check 'em out below courtesy of video game news website CVG.
The game is essentially a crossbow-shooting mini-game that looks like it came straight from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Players go through a series of tests spread over 27 playable levels that start out with shooting stationary targets. Things then progress on to moving targets and, eventually, actual enemies. Link's Crossbow Training will come bundled with the Wii Zapper peripheral for the Nintendo Wii home video game console. The Wii Zapper peripheral is currently scheduled to be in North American retail stores on November 19. More screenshots after the jump! |

The latest issue of the publication Nintendo Power showcases the first ever images of the upcoming title Link's Crossbow Training. It was earlier confirmed that this will indeed come bundled with the peripheral Wii Zapper. While it was said that the title itself will cost US$ 20, Nintendo has yet to confirm or deny the reports. Anyway, while the scans are rather small, one can make out the camera perspective being employed by Link's Crossbow Training. The view is placed over the shoulder of Link which is highly reminiscent of Capcom's Resident Evil 4. Nintendo mentioned that the game will have a total of three game modes: Target Shooting, Defender, and Ranger. Among the three, we're quite excited about the last one because it plays out like a traditional shooter. Players can explore the surrounding environments and attack the enemy encampments. Link's Crossbow Training is expected to ship in retail stores this coming November 19. |

We'll be coming in with some major updates to the previously mentioned Zelda Crossbow Training game for the Wii. The first matter we'll report is that its official name has been confirmed to be Link's Crossbow Training. And as previously speculated, Nintendo's Wii Zapper is indeed going to be packaged with this title.Aiming is done by pointing the Wii Zapper as you would a gun while the control stick controls Link's movement. Pulling the trigger fires the crossbow, while aiming off-screen allows you to face in a new directions (on game stages that allow this). The game is expected to carry three modes: Target Shooting, Defender, and Ranger. Target Shooting is your typical shooting range scenario, where the stages challenge you to hit both moving and non-moving bull's-eye targets. Defender mode will have you standing stationary, while you defend yourself from incoming enemy monsters. And while you can't move, you can still aim off-screen to allow you to look around. Ranger mode handles very much like a traditional shooter. You battle enemy encampments and explore the surrounding environment. The game has a total of 27 levels and is further reported to support up to four players. Link's Crossbow Training for the Wii has been rated T by the ESRB and will start shipping come November 19. |
