Getting a little tired of seeing the same old tactical gear for your run on Ghost Squad from Sega for the Nintendo Wii? By way of a new video we've picked up, we're letting the guys know of a game mode that's going to be made available: Ninja Mode.
As you've guessed, running this mode swaps skins on both you and your enemies with a more shinobi motif (minus the Japanese accents). Now, this would have been real sweet if they gave us a Pirate Mode as well (hey, we can dream, right?). Costume swaps aside, you'll be running through the levels with a seeming unlimited supply of shuriken. It's just a little strange that your opponents are still running around with their standard rifles and SMGs, Ninja Assault-style. Ghost Squad for the Wii is currently scheduled for a November 20 release in North America. For now, enjoy the video. |

Those who decide to sign up for Sega's Ghost Squad on Nintendo Wii will find that it isn't simply a job but an adventure. As a member of the GHOST (Global Humanitarian Operation and Special Tactics) Squad, players will be sent on various missions to stop any terrorist activities in the region. The particular mission these latest screenshots show takes place in a location where the sun is always shining and beautiful women walk around waving their guns at everyone who passes by. Sounds fun, right? Anyway, the terrorists have taken multiple hostages and the local authorities seem not up to the job of handling it so the GHOSTs have been called in for some "aggressive negotiations". Ghost Squad is slated to be released on November 20 in the U.S. and December 7 in Europe. This is one title that shooter fans should seriously consider for their growing collection of Wii games. See the other screenshots at the "Full Article" link! |

It's hard to deny that Sega's Ghost Squad for the Wii is shaping up to be a pretty good title considering it's a port of an arcade game made back in 2004. For those who haven't heard of this hot rail shooter, you might want to check out the game's official website which recently went online.Game info featured on the site offers nothing we haven't heard before, but it sure is cool to browse around with the nice background music. You'll find a movie and some screenshots in the media section, so don't be shy to indulge in Ghost Squad goodies. The best part is that little thing on the upper right corner, because that's where the boxshot is which leads to pre-orders. Then again, you can just head straight to Amazon for that. Follow the Read link to get to Ghost Squad's official web site. |

If you've been waiting to see more of Sega's Ghost Squad, then you've come to the right place. The trailer shows off the Wii exclusive title's more action packed sequences of the game.
Judging from the video, players will find themselves doing the most amazing things like shooting knives out of enemy commandos hands and more. Of course the primary directive for the Ghost Squad is to save lives, and you'll be seeing quite a few hostages waving their arms in the various levels featured in the trailer. Like the arcade version of the game released back in 2004, the Wii version will have branching levels as well as an action button to perform tasks such as diffusing bombs. In addition to this, all 25 different weapons, 48 difficulty levels, and 14 costumes will also be in the game. Sega has seen fit to add more features to the game that weren't in the original release such as support for four players. Slated to be released by November 20, this is a game that fans of on-rails shooters shouldn't miss. While waiting for the release date, why don't you take some time to watch the trailer of Ghost Squad for the Wii. |

The German game rating body USK has spoken and Sega's Ghost Squad for the Nintendo Wii has been categorized as a USK 18 game because of its violent content. No comments from Sega have been reported so far. The USK 18 rating means that Ghost Squad cannot be sold to minors, but can still be retailed in stores. A USK 18 game contains "brutal, moderately bloody violence, and they may glamorize war or violation of human rights," according to the German board. Ghost Squad was originally a light gun arcade title which has been ported to the Nintendo Wii platform. It pits you as an elite Special Forces operative tasked with anti-terrorism missions across the world. The video game makes use of the Wiimote's similarities with the light gun to make for an almost exact arcade to console transition. |

More hostage-rescuing drama and tango-shooting action in this gameplay video update of Sega's Ghost Squad for the Nintendo Wii. Direct from this year's Tokyo Game Show, we get a look at how one of the first titles to take advantage of the Wii Zapper plays like, as well as how it compares to the original coin-op version. Looking at the video, the graphics looks sharp, and offers the same streamlined light-gun gameplay that puts you inside the helmet of a member of the Ghost Squad. The gunplay is frantic and pulls no punches, especially when it comes to rescuing hostages. You never know whether the bogey in the next corner turns out to be a frightened hostage, or a baddie waiting for you to take the bait. And it's always cringe-inducing whenever you mistake one for the other - resulting in not only a loss of life, but in points as well. One thing's for sure, though - Ghost Squad for the Wii certainly takes the arcade experience right into your living room. Embed's below, you know what to do. Enjoy! |

It's been a while since we last heard from the Wii version of the Special Forces-themed lightgun shooter, Ghost Squad. Thankfully, it hasn't dropped out out of sight completely, making a stalwart showing at TGS 2007 - and we're here to give you a dose of that with this latest screenshot update of the game. Tango down! The graphics are looking pretty intense, with a bit of next-gen touch-up here and there while still being faithful to the arcade original. One thing that's particularly encouraging about this game is the fact that the mission level feature is still intact. This is good, since the arcade version had a very special feature that gave it a whole lot of replayability. It revolved around the GS Game Card - one that served as a "password" system of sorts, which kept track of your progress, score and unlocked weapons. If you had such a card in your possession, you would be able to unlock (and access) harder routes in a stage. Here's hoping that Sega added new routes to mix the action up some! Enjoy the screenshots! The rest of the screenshots after the jump! |

If you're waiting for Sega's Ghost Squad on the Wii, know that you're not alone. This port is expected to bring the fast and furious game play as well as the tactical depth that the game offered in the Arcade. We were able to obtain six screenshots of the game which show of the explosive action sequences that the game will have. Ghost Squad will have the full gamut of options such as 25 weapons, 14 costumes, and 48 difficulty levels. However, unlike the arcade version, there will be support for up to four players, making this a very ideal party game. Slated to be released at the end of the year, Ghost Squad is one game that most military aficionados will want to pick up. While waiting for its release, you might want to take a gander at the screenshots. Here they are, enjoy! |

More eye candy of one of the first games to take advantage of the Wii Zapper in this screenshot update of Sega's Ghost Squad for the Nintendo Wii. We get you locked and loaded on what's the latest with the game that aims to bring the unique light-gun experience from your nearest arcade to the comfort of your own living room. In these batch of screenshots, we see more of the game in action, with the graphics looking reassuringly sharp and crisp. The tense jungle atmosphere is still there, with the game's terrorists doing their level best to pop out in your line of fire and send you to the game over screen with a couple of well-placed shots. Interestingly, in the last screenshot, we see the Wii Zapper, in one of the many helpful pop-ups that tell you what the context-sensitive action button does. Definitely a great addition to any Wii owner's library. Updates as we get them, so enjoy the screenshots! More screenshots after the jump! |

We've all seen how the Wii Zapper was useful in busting zombies into oblivion in Capcom's Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, but how about other rail shooter games? Judging from Sega's Ghost Squad E3 2007 demo, the Wii Zapper promises to be THE accessory for rail shooters. Sure, the Wii Zapper does look a bit odd at first glance, but it's better to witness the action first-hand than just judging it based on the pictures.
Just look at the guy's face as he's absorbed in the game, with nary an irritated look that gamers usually have when we perform badly in the game due to bad controllers, or game glitches. Still can't believe that the Wii Zapper works so well? Check out the video below. |
