It's the first week for QuickJump QuickPeek's second year! Some things never change, while others... well, they get quite a pretty make-over too. Debuting this week are our blog-specific Weekend Warriors, marching all over the QJ.NET blog with their very own in-depth recaps for a full seven days' worth of industry news. Take a gander... some of you may have only seen your preferred blog's Warrior, but now, it might pay to see how everything went for everyone else in the community.

QuickJump QuickPeek finally gets a make-over! After a full year of weekly updates, we're now turning over a new leaf and allowing this QJ.NET mainstay to branch out by introducing the Weekend Warriors. Sorry, the Weekend Whattssitts? Hmm, just think of it as the Planeteers summoning Captain Planet. ...Or something - some other equally bad analogy like that at least. Ha! Nonetheless, it's going to be quite interesting from here on out. Here's to yet another year of some crazy weekly updates! And with that, we open the floor for the Weekend Warriors!

Speaking words of wisdom: let it be, let it be. Well, we do hope it will be - because if recent news holds out, we just might get a Beatles release for Rock Band or Guitar Hero (maybe for both games, if Lucy's diamonds shine down on us just right) - just like how Aerosmith got their own version for Guitar Hero. Back in March, ATV Music (in partnership with Sony) already expressed interest in bringing the Fab Four's music to GH. Recent accounts, however, report that a deal may finally be settled in the coming weeks.

Team Twiizers has been hard at work with the Twilight Hack ever since it was found out that the recent Wii Menu Update v3.3 blocked it from running. But now, just as they promised, an updated version of the Twilight Hack has finally been released, and it's now working in full compatibility with Wii Menu v3.3!

Welcome to the 52nd edition of QuickJump QuickPeek! It's an extra long one gamers, but not just its because QuickPeek's now a year old. We have a lot of news for you this week, with firmware updates for the PSP, PlayStation 3, and the Wii, the sequel to Gears of War, what's coming in this year's E3, and much, much more! Let's get started!

Numerical scores are like so last decade ago. So, breaking free from the supposed "one-size-fits-all" checklists of items to add up to a game's "score", we're going to be implementing a new five-star review system. See, we're trying to avoid having to quantify video games into arbitrary numbers. After all, many of us feel that a game isn't just the sum of all its parts (as in a checklist), but rather, the totality of the gaming experience itself! With Solid Snake enjoying epic numbers in Japan, it's now time to take a look at the other side of the world. Chart Track reports the software sales figures for the week ending on June 14, with Metal Gear Solid 4 closing its firm grip on to the top spot. Lego Indy is like so last week now. Its multiplatform success on the PSP, PS3, Wii, DS, 360, and PC last week apparently wasn't enough to take cover from the Guns of the Patriots. Before solid snakes... Super Saiyans! Though MGS4 still isn't accounted for in these charts, it's still quite a view to behold. For the week June 2 to June 8, 2008, the PS3 version of Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit took the top spot, while the Xbox 360 is making its presence felt in the frequently Nintendo-dominated charts.
