A new Wii-Linux distro is out from developer Bert Jan. It's has the existing Debian/Whiite package as its foundation, but it has Xorg running on top of it. The distro is appropriately named xwhiite. The package includes the necessary drivers, config, and apps to make the x "magic" happen, in Bert Jan's words. Here are the release notes: Features:
In the same TehSkeen thread as the release of xwhiite, Wiibrew dev Muzer says that "If you want more features or easier installation, wait for my distro." I assume he's talking about his Wii Linux Miight project which was leaked last month. |
