looks like loose cables to me.
there was no power feeding to the system (thus no blue light on the disk loader) and when they pull the system out to check on the cables, he correctly plugs in the power cable and viola! It powers on.
Ditto.
shut it fanboys, you just won't admit your favorite console actually crashed
Even if it did crash it doesn't mean anything.
Vents are at the back. Back was blocked up against the cabinet ^_^
crashed at the la event also when switch games and this wasnt a dev kit but its noting to worry about
i dont think it crashed it could be one of two things one the cables witch seams to be the most likely or two the ventalation system is in the back and look how close the wii is to the wall there is def not enough vent room and you can see that after they tinker with the back they move it farther out so there you have it defanitly not a crash
All I see is a loose power cable. I wouldn't imagine heating problems as that was one of the major features of the system when they were designing it. Quiet and cool.
Can a Wii crash? Yea, consoles can do that. So even on the far extreme that it "crashed", it turned on again. How many 360s have gotten that dreadful light and know it's the end?
If anything, this furthers my faith in Nintendo's console.
i find it amusing how hard it is to get to the wii. a lock, plexiglass, and some rope? it took a two man team.
Seriously, even if it did crash, its not likes un common. Consoles crash, its a fact, i bet the amount of "deffective" lauch units will be considerably smaller then its compitition.
PS. Own a 360 and have a pre ordered ps3 and wii
Didn't the guy just plug the cable back in and then the game was functional again? I don't understand how this is qualified to be a crash... It's like not plugging in your power cord and then calling Dell to say that your computer doesn't work...
They had to reset the console so it has to be considered a crash. Nothing is perfect, hopefully its very uncommon like Gamecube. Honestly i do not know why people don't think "Nintendo consoles don't crash." Every computer crashes now and then. If it was a ventilation problem basically you are saying it was a heat problem....
I'm kinda pissed, not at the Wii crashing, but i was at Digital Life last year hoping to get my hands on a 360. No such luck. I didnt bother to go this year and they have playable Wii and PS3. Thats annoying
Im not saying that it did crash ( IMO loose cables ;D ) but who gives a damn if it crashed. This obviousaly isnt a finished build of the system, so who cares.
loose cables
as soon as he opens the glass, he presses the power button, doesnt work
secures the cables, turns right on
