Wii Balance Board - Image 1Nintendo's phenomenal sales tear continues well aft6er the holiday rush as they announce another milestone. In less than one month, the Wii Fit exercise software has sold more than a million copies.

According to the latest news feed from Japanese business publication Nikkei, the Wii Fit and Wii Balance Board peripheral are both doing extremely well. Working together, the game and the accessory allows owners to perform simple pilates, yoga, and other exercises right in their living rooms.

This can only spell more profits for Nintendo. The Kyoto-based firm has been leading hardware sales with its DS handheld and Wii console in the past few months. The key, according to analysts, is in the market-expanding mix of casual and core games for each platform.

It remains to be seen, though, if the Wii Fit can continue its phenomenal run into its 2008 entry to the North American and European markets. Given Nintendo's recent track record, there's little reason for concern on reception.
