Nintendo Weekend Warrior - Image 1 Nintendo's still not giving in to the lures of a price drop, and really, why should they? They have the two bestselling consoles in this generation, both home and handheld. If you think about it, they can afford to keep the Wii at its price point. Satoru Iwata - Image 1Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has more or less confirmed that Wii owners outside Japan will also get to experience the newly-launched Wii video streaming service. He also added that the service's original Japanese programming may be included in the service's international versions.

Wii Speak - Image 1The other week, a news item from MTV Multiplayer noted that only a brand-spanking new Wii Speak peripheral will ever be of use. This effectively locks out any second hand buying. Cue an uproar from the Internet masses (Mister Common Sense and ISOHaven included) and enter Nintendo. They just clarified the matter: second-hand buyers can still redeem their Wii Download Ticket Number through other means.

Wii Speak - Image 1Wii owners are no doubt quite excited about Nintendo's new Wii Speak accessory that will come bundled with Animal Crossing: City Folk once the game hits retail on November 16. Thing is, it'll be a while before Wii Speak can be used outside of the game.
