Professional darts player James Wade - Image 1 While some people are commending the Nintendo Wii for the physical benefits that it helps provide for them, here's one guy who seems to be doing the opposite: James Wade, professional darts player, has attributed his less-than-stellar performance at a darts tournament to having played Wii Sports Boxing the day before.

You see, Mr. Wade had reportedly received a Nintendo Wii as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, it seems that his enthusiasm with throwing punches in Wii Sports Boxing resulted in stiffness in his back and shoulders the following day, so much so that he was barely able to lift his dart-chucking arm.

In spite of the handicap, Mr. Wade went on to win the Ladbrokes.com PDC World Darts Championship, anyway. Still, it seems that Mr. Wade has learned his lesson: absolutely no virtual boxing before the big game.

 » WTF!?!?!?!?!

What a fool!

"resulted in stiffness in his back and shoulders the following day"
Yeah, it's called EXERCISE or rather USING MUSCLES YOU NEVER USED BEFORE. This is what happens when lazy people go to the gym for the first time!

"so much so that he was barely able to lift his dart-chucking arm."
BS! He was barely able to lift his arm? Then how did he have poor performance? He would have had NO PERFORMANCE. He wouldn't have been able to play at all.

"In spite of the handicap, Mr. Wade went on to win the Ladbrokes.com PDC World Darts Championship, anyway."
So the other players where arms less?

Which makes this whole story a LIE!

NEXT!

» the dark side of Wii overuse

Instead of good exercise, the Wii promotes jerky movements that is hard on the joints. I don't think lifting and swinging his arms was using muscles he never used before.

Despite what Nintendo wants you to think, the Wii has nothing to do with any decent exercise.
