PEGA - Image 1

Why is it that Japan always seems ahead of us? Here in the U.S., providers of console accessories are still experimenting with charge stations, sensor bars, and some multi-cables. But back in Japan, they're dealing with cool add-ons already, like this one for starters: one local manufacturer just released the PEGA Sport Pack for Wii.

We know you're already drooling over the images, and if we may add, the design is rather ingenious. It seems that they've provided a casing with a connector for the Wiimote that serves as the grip. Then, through a simple "slide and lock" feature, the head can be changed into a bat, a racket, or a club. It is needless to say that these enhances the experience of playing Wii Sports.

We actually don't have anything to add now because we're getting more jealous by the moment. Just share our despair by looking at the product's other images. It appears that the PEGA Sport Pack costs 2,780 Yen, or roughly around US$ 23.

These also mark the top of your Wiimotes, it's been said by the manufacturers.

And it blocks off the IR so you'll have to pop it back out if you want to replay your game or anything.

You can actually make all menu selections via the D-pad in Wii sports, so you don't really need to unblock your IR to choose anything.

They also sell them here in the UK, I saw them in gamstation for £15. Although my friends Wii remote popped out of it somehow and it fell and got scratched..

Ugh these things, they're a complete waste of money. £15 for a load of useless plastic which has no function other than to give the remote a few scuffs? No thanks. If it actually did something, I doubt I'd fork out that much even then.

I'd save your precious breath whining about not getting this, its a useless hunk of junk.

I'm willing to bet that it will take about 3 minutes of use before you decide you no longer want that PEGA Sport Pack.

Nice idea but it does seem like another thing that could be used as a lawsuit from breaking stuff

 » Yeah...

Wait till weight/air resistance eventually losen the plastic near the top (looks pretty thin on the sides) and it snaps of and out a 100 story tokyo window and then kills someone on the street below :P

I really wondered how these "enhance" the game....then I realised, they don't....they are totally aesthetic and a waste of plastic/money/natural resources.....f*ck these things....I am SOOOOO NOT jealous of this crap....

Next, hello kitty "Face massager" wiimote attachment....

 » Who wants that crap?

That ***** is made from cheap plastic...it's a total gimmick. Hell no, we don't want that pega sports pack.

yeh, we've had these since launch in australia. might look cool, but utterly worthless tho. if they do create scuffs on the controls that really sucks.

however, i've got the wheel shaped attachment for the wii remote which actually proves quite useful
