The next annual iteration of hardcore wrestling is now official with the recent announcement of WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo Wii, DS) by THQ and JAKKS Pacific. All that's left is to see the sin action after drooling over its screenshots, so we have to show you guys this exciting debut trailer.

Fans of the long-running franchise are getting much love with the introduction of a new tag team system with "hot tags" that can change the flow of things and the option to go online in two-versus-two. As we mentioned before, there will also be a co-op story mode and a bigger bag of tandem tricks in the ring.

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 is slated for release this fall across all platforms. While waiting, you can check out its first trailer for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.
