Gradius 2 - Image 1Nintendo UK has announced via press release that the Hanabi Festival is being celebrated on the Europe Wii Virtual Console service once again. This means that gamers from the said region will be given the chance to pick up games that were only released in Japan or North America.

To kick things off, gamers will be treated to the side-scrolling shooter Gradius II: Gofer no Yabou (900 Wii points), puzzle game Columns III: Revenge of Columns (900 Wii points), and action game Final Soldier (700 Wii points).

Like previous Hanabi Festivals, it doesn't end there. It was mentioned that gamers from the region can also expect to see Puyo Puyo 2, Gley Lancer, Star Parodier, and Cho Aniki in the coming weeks and that all the titles put up during this time period will remain on the Wii Shop Channel even after the festival has ended.
