With the ESRB and Rockstar both being completely mum about just what had to be changed with Manhunt 2 (Wii, PSP, PS2) for it to earn a Mature rating, we may never know what the original "uncut" version is really like. However, things may be different for the more internet-savvy of us, as there's talk about an untouched Manhunt 2 build for the PlayStation 2 making the rounds in the ol' series of tubes. That's right, a Manhunt 2 with all its content intact, just waiting to be taken.

While this is itself is already incredible, some of those who have already procured a copy of the leaked build have posted up videos of the game's intro, to prove that it actually does exist. Some of these videos have been pulled from their hosts by Rockstar, but apparently not all of them - as here is the alleged opening cinematic for your viewing pleasure. Do take note that it's quite graphically violent in nature, so viewer discretion is advised. Keep the tots and kiddies away.

It's just a bunch of people in an insane asylum escaping. One Flew Over A Cuckoo's Nest with Jack Nicholson was more graphic than this video!

It works, but some cutscenes don't have sound and sound goes off sync during some of the executions.

 » Highly Illegal?

Highly Illegal? Highly Illegal?
murdering people is highly illegal.

This is a demo.

Do you really think that downloading a demo is even illegal?

Downloading the whole game would be illegal, however it should also be noted that the law (here in UK) would be civil law, not criminal law.

This would mean the police have nothing to do with the incident, - and it would involve the copywrite owner taking you to court (effectivly sueing you for the loss of which you have effected them with)

And considering demo's are free. - there is no loss.

As for the censorship issues, the ESRB is just an advisory board, - whatever they say doesnt become law, it just becomes advice to consumers on what rating each game should have.
It however also means that in order to license a game for release, it would mean you need to meet ESRB expectations.

this is a joke. there's more violence in the daily news.

   Re: karivika (Unregistered) - 2007-09-08
 » true

So true, aslong as entertainment companies won't produce movies and games that are more violence and explict than daily news, the ESRB is of no use to anyone... just another money stealing machine.

if it's not the Wii edition, I don't care. That's the version I hope gets leaked.

 » wtf

Wtf? come on, show us something that makes this game deserve a ban in the UK, what a load of bollocks that video was,

Seen more violence on the Simpson's with itchy and scratchy cartoons. man id let my 5 year old watch that vid, its nothing that they haven't seen on TV / in the street / playground before.

Wish people would get off their high horse and stop dictating to me what the fu ck i can an can not play IM 29 FOR GOD SAKE. not 12

If i want to go murder someone in A GAME i should damn well be allowed too, with out some jock strap in the good old U S of A, being a pillock

If parents cant be responsible for what they get there children as entertainment, then i say shoot the parents. but it also doesn't help when a 10 year old can switch on a TV and watch a documentary about a gang of black youths stabbing and kicking another one to death.

This Fu cking world is screwed up.

Nuke the world let the rest fight it out.

this is an intro... why are you people looking at it, seeing how little violence is in it, and saying that the game isnt all that shocking? its just the intro, its not representative of the violence in the game at all...

and if your saying that the pspupdates intro was misleading as to how much violence is in it, well... i mean come on.. this sites 'reporters' are 15-17 year olds, they always overhype crap, and make big deals out of nothing... and you people know it.

Yes it was an intro. Got it. But qj said keep the kiddies away so much violence. blah. There wasnt hardcore violence. There was a guy kicked. Guy choked. Lame. Thats why we are made about the post. It said VIOLENCE. And the video showed none.
