Electronic Arts announced earlier today that the simulation title The Sims 2: Pets for Wii has finally shipped to retail stores across North America. The release date for Europe, on the other hand, is June 28.

Pets is actually based on the video game title for PC The Sims 2 which has currently sold a total of 5.5 million copies worldwide. In this game, all a player has to do is create and control digital characters throughout their lives and decide the outcome of their relationships and destiny.

The Wii version is the same as the Windows version - the only difference is that fans can use the Wiimote and Nunchuk combo in the game.

The biggest feature of The Sims 2: Pets is the Create-a pet where players can customize their pets' look by changing the body shape, color, fur, and nose among others. It is also possible for pets to have new skills like getting the paper, rolling over, as well as sitting and shaking through training.
