We've gotten word that Sega's upcoming Wii FPS, The Conduit, has been re-stamped with a July release date in Europe and Australia. More details after the jump.

High Voltage Software has revealed their plans for E3 2009. Via press release, they're announcing that they will indeed bring The Conduit. What's more is that they've yet to reveal a new game to the media, behind closed doors during the event. But what game is it? For what platform? One thing's for sure: it's going to be "beyond jaw-dropping."

Heads up, Wii owners. A new first-person shooter will be heading down Nintendo's alley in a couple of months as High Voltage Software and Sega's The Conduit moves from its vague Summer 2009 release date to a much more precise June 23 launch.

Sega's The Conduit has been in a bit of release date limbo of late. Last we heard, its projected release was Q1 2009. Today, it's getting slightly pushed back with a summer 2009 release. Not that that's terribly devastating. At least we're given a new trailer to tide over the wait with - a trailer showing multiplayer gameplay, no less!

Everyone went ga-ga over the Wii MotionPlus when it was first announced by Nintendo. The promise of added motion sensitivity was really an appealing idea, especially for The Conduit, the first promising first-person shooter for the Wii. A few days ago, however, it was announced that they decided not to offer support for the accessory. The studio's chief creative officer explains why.

High Voltage Software has announced they have finally found a publisher for The Conduit. Mind you, they didn't say who it was, though they promised that they'll be revealing the news soon. Naturally, speculation is running wild but certain evidence has turned up that points to a likely candidate.

Here's some hope that the Wii could actually support a hardcore shooter playerbase. According to High Voltage Software, WiiSpeak is a go for The Conduit, as well as MotionPlus.
