Here we are with another Super Smash Bros. Brawl update. The lesson for the day? Personalizing controls with names 101.

Don't you find it troublesome when you have to set the controls to your preferred configurations (sometimes, every time you play)? And sometimes, you can't use the same button configurations for a different character. Well, Nintendo's upcoming Wii brawler has found a solution - personalized controls. You can enter a custom name (or a random one, whatever floats your boat) and assign a button set for it. Easier and definitely a lot less stressful.

According to the official website Smash Bros. DOJO!, Nintendo's "considering" enabling the players to save their names, along with the personalized button configurations to the Wiimote. Hmm, imagine going to a sleepover and you brought your personal buttons configs with you. The idea's still on the drawing board so we'd have to wait for definite confirmation regarding that.

In the meantime, why don't you brush up on them button mashing skills? You have four compatible controllers to choose from, by the way. Anyway, expect more updates on Super Smash Bros. Brawl in the coming day. You never know, one piece of news might finally be the release date.

I've wanted something like this forever in street fighter. It sucks having to reconfig the controller every damn match when someone else plays. I always though saving up to 20 presets or so would have been a great solution.

Typing in my name? Where else have I done that... OH YEAH! When I made my Mii. Please, please, please, let the lack of Mii-name integration not mean that we'll not be seeing WiiConnect on this game; I would really like to see SSB:B as a game where my friends can whop on each other from across state/country lines...
