Ike - Image 1

Adding to the scant sword wielder set in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Ike from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance enters the crazy Super Smash Bros. Brawl ring with his heavy two-handed blade (carried with one hand) and challenges the other formidable roster with his Aether skill.

Check out the screens as Ike strikes a single, powerful blow to conquer his Smash Bros. opponents just as he did with the myriad armies in the GameCube video game Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. Isn't he just pure awesome, with that snazzy cape, and swinging his sword as if it doesn't weigh a ton?

Check out this space regularly for more Super Smash Bros. Brawl updates!

 » Hes from fire emblem

Just like how roy and marth in melee were from fire emblem (at the time only out in japan) this guy is from the gamecube version of FE. (excellent game btw)

 » Too bad...

I bet they're not making Marth and Roy in Brawl. They don't want any clones, so they made a combination of the two's best attributes and made Ike. Pure speculation, but it makes sense. It frees up time for other parts of the game.

 » Sweet!

He is bad ass, he is so my character.

I really hope he speaks English this time, because marth and roy speaking Japanese was annoying

 » Finally!

Well, it seems that Nintendo has proved me wrong. I thought that the only new characters for Brawl were in the oringinal trailer. Apparently not. Ike seems like he could be a pretty good character, though. His sword is pretty awesome, and I also think his purple hair is pretty cool.

 » Yeah, I'm serious.

I suppose I thought I had Nintendo figured out. I guess that was pretty stupid of me. Well, from now on I won't assume anything until I have the game in my hands.

 » Another character

Hey thanks Nintendo. I think its cool that you can slowly release all these new characters.

Is this like a game you play with your fans? I would think that you can just release 1000 new characters with all the money you are getting. But I guess that would take the fun out of it.

Hype is a form of advertising. Nintendo is real good at that. It's cheap too!

 » what?

This Ike doesn't look anything like the Ike in Fire Emblem... The real Ike was a teenager, not a full grown big dude. This is stupid.

 » Age

Isn't Ike allowed to age? He did get older throughout the Fire Emblem campaign. So this is Ike a year or two afterwards. Just means he's even more powerful now.
