Grasshopper Manufacture's head honcho Goichi "Suda 51" Suda has high hopes for No More Heroes lead Travis Touchdown. He even wants the beam katana wielding assassin/otaku to make an appearance in the next Smash Bros. game. "I love him and I want him to be a huge star," he told Nintendo Power. "That's why I'm working very hard to make this game (No More Heroes 2) as interesting as possible. Maybe in the future, we can see him fighting alongside Link in the next Smash Bros. That would be great." It seems a bit weird in light of his recent statements about the No More Heroes series jumping ship, but hey, when was the last time a Metal Gear Solid game was on a Nintendo console? Solid Snake still made it in. Of course, he's like huge. As cool as Travis is, he's got a lot of work to do. Related articles: |

» Well....
By that logic, I say Dante should be in Smash bros!

» I'm not sure how you see it.
I haven't seen Travis Touchdown on any other console. I have, however, seen reports that after the next No More Heroes for the Wii is releases, the next one after that might be for a different console. The games (DMC and NMH) have a fairly different feel to them as well. It doesn't matter. To me it confirms that another Smash Bro's is coming out, because I was not aware of one...

» Um...what logic?
Both Snake and Sonic were in SSBB because both characters had at least one game on a Nintendo console beforehand. The "rule" obviously doesn't apply to Dante.
I gotta say though, having Travis as one of the fighters in a Smash Bros. game would be so freaking awesome!

» not very logical
doesn't seem very logical for Nintendo to add Touchdown as a character after Suda 51 has already announced that the No More Heroes franchise will be moved to a different system(s) after No More Heroes 2 due to Nintendo's lack of "core gamers". Nintendo should say he Travis should be in if they make the new 4 games available for Nintendo's platforms (though not necessarily exclusively for Nintendo)
