Hakkerjak and his friends, Jeff and Aaron, with the replacement Wii console - Image 1In a heartwarming story of a group of video gaming buddies, they answer the question: "how far would you go for a friend?" Hakkerjak, a reader from Go Nintendo, shared the story of how his friends went on a limb to replace his Wii console, as well as other stolen paraphernalia, from his home.

Last week, Hakkerjak's home was broken into and he found his Wii, along with four complete Wiimote and Nunchuk sets, two classic controllers, his DS and around twenty DVDs stolen. After calling the police, it was assumed that kids broke into his home considering the only things missing were the video game consoles and the DVDs.

The Saturday after he was pleasantly surprised to find a brand new Wii console sitting in front of his TV. Apparently, his two best friends went around and asked for donations from their other friends and relatives for a replacement Wii that they bought from a Walmart the night before.

Despite the distress video game related crime incidents bring, reading stuff like this sure gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling. Which poses a personal question: "Would my own friends buy me a new Wii if mine got stolen?"

Real friends would have bought a real game console to replace the wii. But, I guess if you're $30 short you must get what you can afford.
