What could be in store for us for the upcoming April 6 announcement for Krome Studios' Star Wars: The Force Unleashed? We can only wonder but at least, we no longer have to guess how we will be using our Wiimotes.Back in GDC 2008, moves such as force push, force grip, lightsaber throw, and lightning were revealed. Turns out there were more. Gamepro was able to preview Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the Nintendo Wii and they brought home a detailed guide of all the fifteen moves you can do with your Wiimote. You can check all these moves by clicking the image to your right for a higher resolution. However, that's not all that there is to know. What's the purpose of all these controls if you can't use them in a versus game? Yes, that's the Duel Mode for you right there. The Duel Mode is what every Star Wars fan has envisioned ever since the motion-sensing capabilities of the Nintendo Wii came out. Now, you can settle your Jedi grudges with a friend with your Wiimotes as the next-best thing to a lightsaber. Choose one from 27 characters from among the Jedi Knights and the Sith. You can even choose where to fight, be it the Jedi Temple, Raxus Prime, Hoth, and Kashyyk. However, Yoda fans might feel a bit left out as the mean, green machine isn't playable. (There are two Luke Skywalkers though, circa Episode IV and Episode VI). More details were also released for the exclusive levels for the Nintendo Wii. Sorry, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 fans. We've reported on the Jedi Temple, where Darth Vader started his killing spree. Now, we have levels for Nar Shaddaa and the expanded Cloud City. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is really shaping up to be of galactic proportions. To come out this Summer of 2008, the game is also available for the Nintendo DS and the Sony Playstation Portable. Keep checking back here at QJ.NET for the latest developments. Images courtesy of Gamepro. |
