QJ HeadPlay review - Image 1Some relationships have always been meant to work, no matter how strange or off-beat they may seem at first. But is the union between the HeadPlay Personal Cinema System, a neat little gadget that lets you play your games in an entirely different fashion, and the Nintendo Wii, an awesome little console with a similar approach to gaming as well, a match made in heaven or a tragic love affair?

Soul Calibur Legends goes gold - Image 1

Namco Bandai has just sent out word that Soul Calibur Legends for the Wii console had gone gold, and will be available on shelves by this November 20. Taking a step back from the traditional one-on-one encounters of the past Soul Calibur titles, Soul Calibur Legends puts players on an the third-person hack n' slash adventure as they follow the story leading up to Siegfried's eventual corruption into Nightmare by the Soul Edge sword.

Gamers can further expect to pick franchise favorites like Siegfried, Ivy, Mitsurugi, Taki, Sophitia, or even Lloyd, as they unleash the hurt on multiple enemies you'll be encountering, made all the more immersive by the Wiimote's motion controls. There's also a split-screen Co-op Mode for those looking for team-play, as well as a Competitive Mode, and Versus Mode.

More action and acrobatics with Siegfried and Ivy are coming your way in the form of two gameplay videos for Namco Bandai's upcoming Nintendo Wii title, Soul Calibur: Legends. After finding out that Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia is joining the line-up of playable characters in this Soul Calibur spin-off adventure, most of you must probably be clamoring for more.

The first video shows the single-player mode. We see the player switching back and forth from one character to another as they go through various levels. The enemies you're going to encounter are many and varied: from rock golems to undead mummies. You might want to stick through to the end of the vid for a rather large surprise too. Meanwhile, the second video shows the split-screen gameplay of the co-op mode with two players. There's a heated battle with a dragon in that, so better get clicking!

The second Soul Calibur: Legends vid is right behind the Full Article link below!

Tales of Symphonia's Lloyd Irving joins Soul Calibur: Legends - Image 1The latest Famitsu magazine scan for Nintendo Wii title Soul Calibur: Legends reveals that a guest character has been added in the next-gen iteration of the franchise in the persona of Lloyd Irving. This particular character is the main protagonist of the video game Tales of Symphonia.

The latter franchise is owned by Namco Bandai as well. There are still no details, however, regarding Lloyd's part in Soul Calibur: Legends. Given that the series shifted genre in Legends, it's quite hard to imagine how he will fit in the game alongside other established warriors such as Siegfried and Ivy.

If we may hazard a guess, we think that Lloyd Irving is going to be an unlockable character, much like Astaroth who is both a playable and boss entity in the game. But then again, we could be completely wrong. We guess we will all just find out when Soul Calibur: Legends ships to retail stores this holiday season.

The last time we saw Namco Bandai's Soul Calibur Legends in action, we were looking over the game producer's shoulder to check out the hack and slash gameplay playing in the background. Well, this time, we've got a gameplay video montage for the upcoming Nintendo Wii video game courtesy of a GameTrailers member Severon.

In the video, we get to see the cast of Soul Calibur Legends: Siegfried, Ivy, Mitsurugi, Taki, and Sophitia, and their individual moves. Also, we get to see what sort of monsters they'll be hacking and slashing their way through: dragons, giant suits of armor, and mummies, among other things. The moves are varied and we doubt you'd have time for snacks when playing this one on the Nintendo Wii.

Anyway, check out the video. No news yet as to Soul Calibur Legends' release and other information but we'll let you know once news hits our collective ears. For now, enjoy!
