Call of Duty 5 - Image 1After Surfer Girl's good news (rather, good rumor) about the upcoming Call of Duty 5, here comes another news that would surely perk up the ears of those following the game's development: according to some sources, Call of Duty 5 is now currently playable and is going through quality assurance phase.

As previously hinted on, the series' former developer Infinity Ward will not be working on the next Call of Duty, with Activision's Treyarch taking it's place, the same developing team that dealt with Call of Duty 3. They will release the title for the following consoles: Xbox 360, PS3, PC, NintendoDS, and the PS2, and even the Wii.

So what can we expect from COD5? According to the same sources, the game will be set in the World War II timeline, in the Pacific. Call of Duty 5 is also rumored to use the same engine as Call of Duty 4.

It'll be just a matter of time until we see the demo (hopefull playable), then. Do stay tuned for more updates!
