Word is that Aussie games distributor Red Ant went belly up, leaving releases from Capcom, Bethesda, Konami, and Midway in potential limbo. Capcom has a bunch of sure fire hits to release in the next few months, specifically Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5 (360, PS3) , Bionic Commando (360, PS3), and Dead Rising: Chop till You Drop, so the timing couldn't be worse. There is word going around that Capcom is looking into Atari and THQ as distributors, but when contacted for comment, Capcom said they didn't know anything about it, and THQ didn't give a direct answer. For now though, don't bet games from these studios will meet their release dates. |
