I can't stand people saying it shouldn't be banned yet...you haven't even seen whats in it yet or why they banned it/given AO rating. If they made the decision to ban it, it probably deserves it, and I hope it stays this way. The only "creativity" that this will fight against is pointless disgusting murdering of other humans characters in the most gruesome ways...which only psychotic people who should be locked away want to play. Besides, games like this should be destroyed...and once this game is, parents won't have to worry about their children ever laying a hand on it, at home, a friends house, wherever. Sometimes you can lay trust in someone else to watch your children and they'll do something as stupid as let them play a game like this....

This kind of Pre judgement by a bunch of overpaid zealous buisness men does not represent the mass opinion of gamers based on what gamers are saying about this game. The truth is that this game is very much wanted by gamers and the very fact that this game is being banned makes gamers want it even more. If your under the age of 18 you should not play this game, and its up to retailers and the parents of the children under 18 to live up to that expectation. Banning the game before its even released is just a prime example of just how sloppy and inafective the rules and laws of our society really are. To say this game must be banned before its sold is just the same as saying "this game is so mature that since we know that kids are going to find a way around our flawed system of regulations and find a way to buy the game regardless of our supposed regulations that this game must be banned because in the grand scheme of things our gaming regulations don't do a damn thing".
I think if anything this ban on Manhunt 2 is a prime example that our ESRB rating system is a load of crap and useless when it comes to mature gamers wanting to play mature games regardless of content.

With the Wii bringing a new level of realism to games, it wouldn't be long until a violent ultra-realistic game arrived. Manhunt 2 is that, after playing the original on PS2, I was deeply disturbed and have yet to touch the title again. The next installment of the game is even worse, not playing it, but seeing the premise really is quite shocking, putting you in a realtime association with your victims, then celebrating in a sadistic style that you've killed someone. Is this really a game, or a avenue to play out sick fantasies.
But I most certainly don't agree with the censorship, it should be up to the individual to make the choice. As for parents buying their kids it (we all know it happens) then that is entirely up to the irresponsible parent. It happens with all forms of media.

if you dont promote rockstar your a dumbass. rockstar is an awsome company with some awsome games. cannibal holocaust and ferox eh? dont comment or even speak of these two movies unless you know what your talking about. which im am very certain that none of you do. these two movies are milestones in the horror industry. Cannibal holocaust is a great movie to an extent, very involving story line that you get right into. slaughtering live animals, pretty stupid, yes but. it was in a survival situation. they ate the turtle. they didnt just kill it cuz it was fun. this topic is old and stale now people. manhunt had better be released. or i will cry. and dont knock those two movies unless you've seen them. which you havent.

I never said anything about those movies or characters, I like them too. but that game totally sucks ass along with all other rockstar games. and as for you being only 14 you need to rethink your gaming choices bonehead, and your parents should be more aware of what your playing, if not then your parents need counseling too.
