We've seen a lot of vids out of Gametrailers, but this, hands down, has to take top honors. Capcom has definitely outdone themselves with this one, showing Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles like you've never seen before.

Capcom proudly announced at their blog that they have now "pushed the initial website for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles live today." Take note though that this is but the initial promotional site for the game. But don't worry, there will be another website coming around later on.

Making a comeback for the nth time, Ada Wong is now confirmed to join the cast of Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. Unsurprising, really, since the game is set within the Resident Evil 2 timeline. Her appearance was confirmed by the latest issue of Famitsu. Besides her, Sherry Birkin is also going to be in the upcoming rail-shooter for the Wii. More than that, there seems to be a bit of a twist to the RE2 story too.

Looks like we should enjoy the latest RE game (or previous others too) for all that it's worth - it's going to be a looong wait for the next one. Considering that Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi previously said that the next installment in the Resident Evil franchise would be a reboot, the next installment may be a ways off. RE5 producer Masachika Kawata honestly stated that the next installment for RE may be quite a ways off, any time within four to eight years!
