Workshop!

This ad for Red Steel baffled a bunch of magazine readers when it came out. Everyone was like "What? Yuck, what a stoopid ad. I won't buy that game. LOLZ. SUXORZ. Wo0t." But, when you look closer, there's a hidden message. See the text below? You have to follow the instructions and create a shuriken.

So, today, boys and girls, we're going to bring in Martha Stewart and have a QJ Workshop Session. Print out the picture on the left - make sure you click on it to get the large version - and follow the instructions.

Now, we're going to leave that for you to do. But what once was just a bunch of characters, words, and phrases, the finished product is now anything but confusing. One side of the shuriken says: "You're as pitiful as your paper weapon." The other side says: "I can train even you. 1-877-###-####." Now, we left out that phone number out so you guys would complete your little project, but once you do find the number out, dial it for a funny message to complete the whole ad. Sensei wants to talk to you.

"So. Haff you compreted yo' pehper weapun?"

 » Really cool ad

This ad was really interesting to me. I couldn't understand it at first, but then I saw the instructions on the bottom. I really wanted to try it, so I printed out the ad. I got to work on the shuriken and after a 5 minutes I saw the message. Now I feel sad because I'm as pitiful as the paper weapon. So now I called the number and they got me even more sad.

Acutally it was funny. This ad was really creative. It sucks that you guys gave way the answer, but I think all you guys should try it and make sure you call the number. Really cool ad.
