As if Nintendo's innovative Wii console and its staple title Wii Sports weren't popular enough, a tour is being prepped up to promote the two along with other sports titles. Nintendo of America will be on the road in the months to come, gracing sporting events where everyone can see and enjoy their products.

Sporting events, particularly those which concern Wii Sports' offerings, will be given premium. The PGA tour will have Wii Sports Golf demonstrations, while MLB games will be spiced up by Wii Sports Baseball.

An added attraction of Nintendo's sporting tour will be the unveiling of the Donkey Kong monster truck. We certainly hope it comes in banana yellow.

Here's the complete list of Nintendo's sporting appearances:

  • Jan. 24-27: Buick Open in San Diego
  • Jan. 31-Feb. 3: FBR Open in Phoenix
  • Feb. 9-10: Allianz Championship in Boca Raton, Fla.
  • Feb. 14-17: The ACE Group Classic in Naples, Fla.
Seattle Mariners event - Jan. 26-27: Nintendo will be on hand at Safeco Field for FanFest to show off the Nintendo Fan Network, a free downloadable application that gives access to baseball-related content on Nintendo DS systems during Mariners home games.

  • March 6-9: Peoria Sports Complex, Peoria, Ariz.
