Nintendo representative clears-up Nintendo Wii-SD card issue - Image 1News has been proliferating the Internet recently after complaints about game unplayability on the Wii due to an issue with Secure Digital cards rolled in. But the guys up at Nintendo assured players that there is probably nothing wrong with Nintendo Wii or their SD cards. The symptoms persist, however, because of heavy memory load and loading speed.

According to representatives from Nintendo, the delays are simply caused by games piling-up inside the Wii Memory as players keep on downloading games - especially Virtual Console games - over from the Wii Shop Channel. Maxing out the memory will cause problems with loading times. Sometimes games will seem as if they aren't loading at all.

So that you could avoid these frustrations in the future, Nintendo advises players to delete their Virtual Console games once they've been completed or are no longer needed. This will make more room for future downloads. For faster data transfer, they advise gamers to use the console's memory for saved games.  When loading speeds are a non-issue, move to the SD card.

So thats why my Wii has been freezing up lately. Every once in a while when I turn on my Wii, it freezes and 2 weeks ago when it froze and I turned it back on, the Wii channels were all scrambled and I had to re-arreange them.
