The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker - Image 1In Eiji Aonuma's Nintendo Power interview - in which he gave comments to the many games he's currently involved in - the game director and producer has expressed his wish to see a Wii port of the highly successful The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker game for the GameCube.

Since we're talking about a Nintendo bigwig here, there is a glimmer of hope for those who want to relive the epic game in their Wii Consoles, complete with Wiimote motions. Slap a budget price on it as well, and non-GameCube owners (who have Wiis) will have a grand time indeed. So how about it, Nintendo?

 » The wii version....

The Wii version could also include the levels that were cut out from the Gamecube version.

I was thinking it wouldnt be too much of a rework to change the cutsy big head proportions to a more mature realistic character? i mean the enemies can stay the same but with the human like characters, maybe they could find something in the middle between windwaker cute and twilight lord of the ringy? i personally dont care either way cause im in it for the puzzles .

No no no no no no! I don't EVER want to see that game again! It sucked! I'd rather give up Metroid than see another WindBreaker! (and thats saying alot! I love Metroid. Why not remake Prime 1 after Prime 3 an have it motion controlled? It won so much during its time on GC. Just imagine how it'd be loved on Wii. It would give us gamers something to do after we beat Prime 3 for the 5th time. :D YAY PRIME 3!

 » wtf?

What you on mate?
wind waker kicked arse! Of course, it was no match for OoT, heck, i found majoras mask better than wind waker, but it was still a great game.

Better hope this isn't gonna turn out to be the rumoured 2nd wii zelda game, I want a proper new one, not a crappy remake.

 » wow

I hate wind waker link, reminds me of some Chinese kid with downs syndrome, poorly drawn, animated and dumped in a bucket of glow paint.

 » =O!

differing from you... i loved wind waker... and a wiimake will let eiji correct some mistakes.. like the triforce part... he once acepted that it wasnt suppouse to be like that, but lack of time and pressure make em do that...

so... kudos for the proyect!

Don't eve make that ugly game ever again someone must really want to have people not want to buy this type of game ever again, and there is a sequel on nds where it should stay.

 » why!?!?

for god sake instead of making remakes of everything for this console why not make new games instead! its a good console which could be much better if they made new titles instead of games we have already played!

More Wind Wankers! OH YEAH!

It better not be a remake, a full fledge sequel (like phantom hourglass) would be alright. Make sure link has a block button again though o0"

Go cartoon style link, because realistic link would get killed by reviewers because of dated graphics (tp grass was >=O)

 » more content!!!

To me, windwaker was my absolute favorite zelda game, but it just wasn't long enough. With a wii remake there could be more content to the game. And then maybey even give hints on how hyrule was flooded to begin with.

 » Opinions!

Opinions guys! One liked it, one didn't, don't go around shouting its a bad game because you didn't like it, or pointing fingers and names at those who liked it.

The game had some strong points, and some weaker ones. Wether or not you liked it entirely depends on if you're able to 'ignore' the weaker points and concentrate on the stronger points, and everyone is different on that.

It doesn't make the game bad for it. Now if EVERYONE in the world agreed that a game was crap, I'd be inclined to believe it. Wind Waker is not one of those.

The graphics in the game were actually really good, have you even seen that stuff though component video?
Everything is texture wise good and pretty good, but they need to bring backa few things like some LAND!
