Square Enix is looking to change the way operation works in the Europe offices, and so is also looking to change their name. Forming a new entity, they are now to be dubbed temporarily as Square Enix Europe. This office will take care of all the publishing for Square Enix and Eidos products.

Their aim as a new entity is to create "one efficient and powerful structure for game publishing." Eidos CEO Phil Rogers will be leading this pack, combining the sales and marketing offices, which in effect may very well lead to redundancy, hence, job losses.

Said a statement from Square Enix Europe:

Unfortunately we are expecting some jobs to be impacted directly by this in both Europe and North America. We are hoping to minimise this wherever possible and offer support and advice to any employees directly affected (emphasis ours).

On the other side, all US sales, marketing and distribution roles will be shifted from Eidos Inc to the region's Square Enix office, under the auspices of John Yamamoto.

In effect, Eidos will no longer be a publisher, but will now focus on developing through the various studios around the world -- all of which will report directly to Square Enix Europe.

 » its there.

Lawsuits don't get settled out in a few weeks. It can take months even years. It depends on how badly that girl can get her lawyer to crack down and stuff.

But good luck to her. She's gonna lose on a lot of what she's suing.

no joke, i've been reading this site for at least 2 years and as of late, its gotten really bad. you guys need to use spellcheck before you make a post. honestly, "redundation"?

(BTW- only pointing out the most egregious error in this article. your writing is at a 7th grade level mabie. consider retaking english 101...)

You should check your spelling...

Capitalization also helps, and using abbreviations for a known set of words is kind of annoying where you have access to a full keyboard.

Maybe "somebody" shouldn't be pointing any fingers.

thanks for pointing that out keith. and "BTW" is a very old, accepted abbreviation used in correspondence, such as this comment. as to capitalization, well... i'm not employed by QJ to write comments.

BTW- the comment was intended only for the author and the editors. why attack me? theres no reason to hold a commenter to the same standards as the author. read the first comment on the article and notice that i didn't respond to his writing...
