Awiier - Image 1Just a short while ago, we reported on a new update for the Wiinja modchip, which now carries D2B support. Now, if you prefer having a little more variety to the current selection available, take note as (yet) another Wii modchip hits the scene: the Awiier Wii modchip. This particular model belongs to Ying Hong Information Co. over at Taiwan, and comes with the following features:

  • Plays Wii backups
  • Plays GC backups
  • Plays GC homebrew
  • Plays GC imports
  • Built-in audio fix
  • Supports DVD -R/+R
That's the only info available for the moment, although D2B support is visibly missing from its features list, as is the "stealth mode" function that was available on CycloWiz. For now, we'll just have to see if the company decides to release more details on this chip.
