I am still going to buy this game like Met-Fan, but without an online multiplayer feature, Nintendo and Nintendo fanboys better not call this game a Halo 3 killer. You have to have online multiplayer if you want to have a shot at the FPS King of Kings. Sorry Nintendo but maybe Metroid 4 will do.

i hate you nintendo you scroowed us again,BIG SUPPRISE,you are all ba444tards for not making the last in the series the best it can be.besides with there generic 1 through 4 player ds clone reproduction to the wii is pathedic and if it only supported 4 player online multiplayer it would blow any way.i know the story part will be great , dont get me rong but nintendo halfa$$ed this game in this respect because think how alsome it would have been for ninty to prove to all those lazy developers that the wii is capable of good graphics and good game play and also a great online multiplayer expirence. Then the 3rd party developers would be forced to try more and make some fps titles with online multiplayer and not just some half a$$$ed port.this being nintendo's only real fps title this was there opertunity to set the standard for the games of the future within the fps genre,and they blew it and the most fffuuukkked up part about the whole thing is that those KKunts dont even care or give a $$hit.i know retro wanted to do online but lazy nintendo was being cheap and didnt want to buy adiquite server support so retro got the big fat NO and us gamers got the scrooow job with no vasoline.

Online play is the only way to make it a Halo killer. I am not even a Halo fan but without online play, it is just another FPS and nothing that will change the gaming world as Nintendo hyped. Hopefully this will introduce a good interface that someone later will use to make a great online game. I am sure the game will be lots of fun but single player can only be fun for so long.

I' also like to point out that the first 3d metroid was touted as a new genre : the first FPA (first person adventure) seeing as there was as much exploration as shooting.
It was new but to hold up today it better be much better than the original. I for one don't want to find out the plot intricacies by scanning every object and reading long and often boring text descripions... I also don't want to jave long loads between "rooms". and I don't want all ennemies to respawn each and every time you re-enter a "room".
And let's face it, without online play it's not going to be in your console for more than a week....
I love my wii but I think that the developpers' excuse of aiming for a casual market is lowering production values on the whole.
