German publisher and developer Daedalic Entertainment has just sent us a press wire revealing their line-up at the ongoing Games Convention in Leipzig. Certainly to watch out for are the new assets of upcoming The Whispered World (PC, DS) and A New Beginning, as well as the first look for the DS port of Edna & Harvey: The Breakout.

The Whispered World brings you to a world of fantasy as young clown Sadwick and sidekick Spot go on a dangerous journey in classic point & click tradition. The backgrounds are hand-painted filled with animated details, keeping with the true feel of classic animation to bring the fairy-tale story to life.

A New Beginning, on the other hand, provides for a rather interesting concept as it is an interactive eco-thriller. The players must avert disaster by averting global climate cataclysm. This will be going to the PC, DS, and Wii.

Meanwhile, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout (PC, DS) is another point & click adventure game. Edna wakes up in an insane asylum with no memory of how she got there. She does have a future to look forward to, and so she plans her escape. She doesn't think she's ill, either - an observation that her stuffed bunny Harvey concurs with.

These games and more are to be presented at the Leipzig Games Convention 2008 in Germany. Daedalic Entertainment has their presentation booth positioned at hall 2, booth F10. So if you want to find out more about these games, then do head on over to their booth if you are in the event.

For those who are not able to make it, don't feel too bad. We've got the screenshots for you.
