Promotional poster of DreamWorks Animation's Kung Fu Panda - Image 1When the "Chosen One" destined to save the day is a fat and lazy panda (voiced by none other than Jack Black), you're sure to have some apprehensions whether or not he's up to this enormous task. This is the plot for Kung Fu Panda, the latest video game adaptation from Luxoflux for the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and DS.

Based on the animated film from DreamWorks Animation, the game puts you in the role of Po the Panda as he learns from five of the best Kung Fu masters in China and tries to fulfill his destiny to become the Dragon Warrior. You also can expect the same brand of humor and quick-witted dialogue to appear in this action-packed martial arts title.

The gameplay itself allows you to switch from any of the five Kung Fu masters and the titular character, using many of their signature moves to progress through the game. Aside from reliving the movie experience, the developers have also included some additional content found exclusively in-game.

And to top it all off, Kung Fu Panda includes a multiplayer head-to-head option across a variety of arenas. There's even a team co-op mode for players to work through a series of challenges and defeat dangerous enemies.

Kung Fu Panda will be published by Activision and is set to be released this May. While we're all waiting for the coming of this awesome panda, check out some of the screenshots we were able to get for the game below.
